Rebirth Sieburg (After a Cold Shower, What No Longer Exists?)

We may be crazy

For any number of reasons

(You need a change of seasons)

Yet possible obstacles have managed to mutiny

Under closer scrutiny

(Who needs any winter cold as long as you can ski?)

A German Gentile and a Jersey Jew?

We're actually agnostic, leaning toward the spiritual and True

Wanting a child but not the risk or the time?

We've got one already if yours becomes mine

Transferring a continent away?

We may well find our real work there ‑‑ I'll help pay

Rock vs. jazz?

We're moved by ours, let's see what the other has

We've barely met yet we dare dream of dealing with dangers?

Some couples spend decades staying strangers

Are the concessions for either of us to be prominent?

We're weird enough to want neither of us to be dominant

You said not to lose any sleep

But you never said anything about gaining consciousness

"You've got my brain spinning again" she says with apparent anger

"Sorry" he answers with a frown

"Not really" she retorts, smiling

"You're right" he finishes, kissing her
